The Application Calculation Engine (ACE) Summary window provides information in a tabular format about the system’s points and their associated ACE procedures.

The points displayed are determined by the current Controller's view area selections. The summary also allows you to filter point information by code or group.

To use the ACE Summary window

  1. Open the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS).

  2. Expand the System Displays panel on the Navigation Menu.

  3. Select Application Calculation Engine (ACE).

ACE Summary Window Description

Field

Description

Name

The pre-configured name of the ACE record.

Output Point

Indicates the location where the system writes the data resulting from an ACE code (acecode) execution.

Last Run

The last time the calculation or control routine ran.

Enabled

ACE calculations are stored in the ACE Configuration (aceconfig) records in the RealTime database (RTDB). In each aceconfig record, there is an enabled field that controls whether or not the ACE server executes that point. This flag starts out as true for every point, and is set to false if there is a problem in executing the routine. For example, the following conditions cause a point to be disabled and will raise an alarm to notify the Controller of the problem:

  • A parameter marked as a database point cannot be parsed, or if a PubSub topic exceeds 200 characters or contains |*|.

  • There is a constant or PubSub value that is not a number.

  • There an exception in the routine itself.

The point remains disabled until a Controller re-enables it (presumably after fixing the problem). The Enabled checkbox on the ACE Control dialog box allows the Controller to monitor the Acecode execution, and to verify that the routine is working correctly when the point is re-enabled. The code may be disabled by the Database Administrator during database creation/modification. The code may also be automatically disabled if the aceconfig or code errors are detected. The ACE Control dialog box can be used to enable or disable acecode.
