Modify tabs in a form

When modifying tabs, the assumption is that the <table>.xml file already exists, and that you either require additional tabs to group related columns together, or need to make changes to the existing attributes of a tab.
A <table>.Alter.xml file is used to create new tabs and put them in the correct order. You cannot change the order of an existing tab. If you create tabs using the ComesAfter attribute, DBEditDisplaySchemaMerge processes the folders and files in the order outlined in the following sections:
There are three ways to order tabs:
-
Create tabs and do not use the ComesAfter attribute.
-
Create tabs wherein the ComesAfter attribute for the new tabs refers to the same existing tab in the form.
-
Use the ComesAfter attribute to put the new tabs in the correct order.
Exception: DataSetDisplaySchema validation failed: The element 'Group' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'SubGroup' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema'.
You can neither create nor modify a tab that contains no elements. Any attempt to create or modify such a tab will cause DBEditDisplaySchemaMerge to generate compilation errors. For example:
Exception: DataSetDisplaySchema validation failed: The element 'Group' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'SubGroup' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema'.
Merger.ProcessAllTableNodesInTable: (ProcessAlterFile) Invalid XML file found: 'The element 'Group' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'SubGroup' in namespace 'http://www.telvent.com/DataSetSchema'.'
Invalid XML File. Skipping this file. See log file for more details.
The same messages as above appears in the oasErrlog.log file.
