To synchronize the RealTime database (RTDB), you will need to perform a Rebase (ReSync) procedure on the Hot RealTime server in the system that currently owns the production dataset.

To perform a Rebase (ReSync) on the target (deployment, test, development) zones

  1. Delete all template (*.t) files found in %DNADataRoot%\realtime\database\INTEL_NT.

  2. On the desktop, double-click the Windows PowerShell for DNA shortcut.

    Windows PowerShell for DNA opens.

Note: If you are accessing Windows PowerShell on a Core computer, switch to Windows PowerShell mode, and load the set-silo cmdlet by executing the following command:
    cd %DNAInstallRoot%\Shared\scripts
    . .\set-silo.ps1

  3. Execute the following commands:

    set-silo RealTime

    text_save

  4. Create a backup copy of the %DNADataRoot%\realtime\database\INTEL_NT directory.

  5. On the RealTime server, shut down the Common service.

Note: If the server is dual-hosted, shut down the Common service on both servers.

  6. On the computer that owns the DistribuSyS Global Tables, copy the .l files from the portable drive into %DNADataRoot%\realtime\database\INTEL_NT, and overwrite the existing contents of the INTEL_NT folder, with the exception of the following files:

    • doas_dataset.l

    • doas_mode.l

    • doas_mode_group.l

    • doas_privilege.l

    • doas_slotrange.l

  7. Delete the Application Calculation Engine (ACE) assembly files from %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\database\ACE\bin.

  8. Copy the ACE source files from the portable drive into %DNADataRoot%\database\ACE\source.

  9. Execute the following commands from the open Windows Powershell session:

    loadblankdb

    text_load

    savedata

  10. From the Network Management Console (NMC), start the RealTime service.

  11. If a secondary RealTime service exists, when the primary RealTime service goes HOT, start the secondary RealTime service from NMC.

  12. If RealTime services exist on other systems, shut down RealTime, and execute the following commands on those systems:

    loadblankdb

    savedata

  13. Restart the RealTime service to allow synchronization to populate the RealTime database (RTDB).
