Field plugins

Declare Field plugins as follows:

public void AddRule(Form form,

DataSetSubGroupCType currentSubGroup,

DataSetSubSubGroupCType currentSubSubGroup,

object currentItem,

string argStr)

The system calls the plugin after the form has created the controls to display the fields.

Field plugins are called once per array so that the program can perform either one operation for the entire array or individual operations for each element. The currentSubGroup and currentSubSubGroup attributes in the XML file, along with the currentItem attribute, facilitate these operations. If, in the future, it is necessary to specify a plugin for a button (DataSetButtonCType type), you can typecast the currentItem attribute to a DateSetFieldCType type.

You can find currentItem.Name in the Document Object Model (DOM) by recursively looking through the controls. The Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Row Edit form will assign the controls the same name as the RealTime database (RTDB) table field they represent. Sometimes, multiple control may be assigned with the same name: be sure to check the type of control you are looking for.
