Edit the RDBMSMonitor JSON file to adjust the periodic time interval at which the RDBMSMonitor application checks whether or not the databases are still online.
To configure the time interval for database monitoring
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\Historical\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RDBMSMonitor.json file.
-
In the file, configure the interval at which the RDBMSMonitor application checks on the databases' online status.
In the example below, the RDBMSMonitor application examines the status of databases once a minute.
{
"RDBMSMonitor": {
"CheckDBOnlineInterval": "00:01:00"
}
}
-
Restart the Historical service.
Note: You do not need to configure this setting separately for each service that monitors Microsoft SQL Server databases. Modifying this setting affects the interval for all services, including Historical, and others such as Archive and Reporting Services.
