To configure the Flatline Watchdog JSON file
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_FlatlineWatchdog.json file.
-
Change the values of the following keys as described below:
{
"RealTime": {
"DELAY_START_WATCHDOG_AFTER_MODE_SWITCH": "00:00:30",
"FLATLINE_WATCHDOG_PROCESSING_FREQUENCY": "00:00:05”
"DELAY_START_WATCHDOG_ON_STARTUP":"00:01:30",
"FLATLINE_WATCHDOG_CHECKIN_INTERVAL_SECONDS": 90
}
}
-
Change the value of DELAY_START_WATCHDOG_AFTER_MODE_SWITCH to control the delay applied to records when the following occurs:
-
System mode switch
-
RealTime service startup

Enabling of a watchdog record

-
Change the value of FLATLINE_WATCHDOG_PROCESSING_FREQUENCY to control the frequency with which the Flatline Watchdog application processes records.
This value must be smaller than the monitored point's timeout value. For example, if a monitored point uses 30 seconds for a timeout, the FLATLINE_WATCHDOG_PROCESSING_FREQUENCY value should be less than 30 seconds.
Note: The default value is 00:00:05 (5 seconds).
-
Change the value of DELAY_START_WATCHDOG_ON_STARTUP to control the delay applied to records when the following occurs:
-
RealTime service startup
-
RealTime service failover
Note: The default value is 00:01:30 (90 seconds).
-
-
Change the value of FLATLINE_WATCHDOG_CHECKIN_INTERVAL_SECONDS to control the time at which the Flatline Watchdog process checks in to the Process Monitor.
Note: The default value is 90 seconds.
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the RealTime service.
