Email messages are not sent after alarm text customization

The Email Notification Feature requires that the alarm text follows a certain pattern in order to work. The system is looking at the alarm messages to find the pattern that is given in the resource STATE_TEXT, then it is using the found string to format the alarm message into a suitable email message. Therefore, STATE_TEXT needs to be translated to the target language so that it will contain a pattern that will be found in the alarm messages, which are also translated to the target language using different resources.
For example, if STATE_TEXT is translated to contain “(estado {0})”, then the system is looking for “(estado <some text>)”, and will extract <some text> to form an email message that gives the state information. In this case, the KRN_VALUE resource (a resource used to format alarm messages) can be translated to “Valor = {0:G} {1} - (estado {2}) , [Límite = “. Translations like this will produce alarms like “Valor = 27,2 PSI – (estado ALTO), [Límite = 20]” which will be properly processed and the corresponding emails will be sent.
To fix this issue, you must verify that the following resources contain the pattern defined in the STATE_TEXT resource:
-
KRN_MANL_VALUE, KRN_VALUE, KRN_ALMSUP_VALUE, KRN_VALUE_ABS, KRN_MANL_VALUE_ABS
-
KRN_ROC_VALUE, KRN_ALMSUP_ROC_VALUE, KRN_MANL_ROCVALUE, KRN_ALMSUP_ROCVALUE_BASELINE, KRN_MANL_ROCVALUE_BASELINE, KRN_ROCVALUE_BASELINE
-
KRN_VALUE_INST_FAIL_SCALED, KRN_VALUE_INST_FAIL_RAW
The defined STATE_TEXT resource is defined in the following location: %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\sdk\resx\libappResources\analogStrings.resx.
The text of the related alarm messages are defined in the following location: %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\sdk\resx\libappResources\krunchStrings.resx.
