Work with RealTime points in more than one Test Mode Set

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
When a point is configured to be in more than one Test Mode Set, the key "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" determines whether the point is actively in test mode when the Test Mode Sets have different settings for their active fields. This key value is read at RealTime startup, so any changes to the "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" key will not take effect until RealTime is restarted.
The following example details a scenario where multiple test mode sets have different settings for their active fields.
TestModeSetA, TestModeSetB, and TestModeSetC all contain analog.ana1.
TestModeSetA is active.
TestModeSetB is inactive.
TestModeSetC is active.
If "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" is true, alarms will be filtered for analog.ana1.
If "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" is false, alarms will not be filtered for analog.ana1.
To update the key value to an active or inactive test mode state
-
If running, shut down the RealTime service.
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime.json file (or the RealTime_custom.json file if it exists).
-
Set the "RealTime" > "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" key to the desired value (true or false).
Note: The default value for the "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" key is false.
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the RealTime service.
Note: When remote records are configured in a Test Mode Set, all points configured to those remotes are considered to be included in the Test Mode Set. This inclusion is taken into account, along with the "TEST_MODE_FILTER_ON_ANY" key value, when the determination is made whether a given point will have its alarms filtered out of the Alarm Summary due to test mode.
