Various security measures are used to ensure that only authorized Administrators are allowed to configure and modify the Application Calculation Engine (ACE) records.
Security risks are reduced by having group fields in the ACE Configuration (aceconfig) and ACE code (acecode) tables to enforce AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Area of Responsibility (AOR) security. To control access, group permissions can be assigned manually to the acecode records at any time in their life cycle. Aceconfig records inherit their group permissions from their associated output points. The Area of Responsibility (AOR) security is also used during configuration to ensure that the Administrators/Controllers are only presented with points that they allowed to view, given their permission groups.
Note: You cannot configure the ACE outputs for a point that you do not have permission to view.
The Operator AOR is used to filter the ACE points available n the ACE Summary. It is also used to manage whether or not a Controller has control permissions for an aceconfig point.
