Loadblankdb

The loadblankdb utility loads a blank RealTime database (RTDB) from the *.init text files into a RealTime shared memory.
Note: When Management of Change (MoC) is enabled, the loadblankdb command deletes the contents of the RealTime change tracking database (%DNADataRoot%\RealTime\database\ChangeTracking\RealTime.sqlite) to ensure only new changes are tracked. This deletion is done because AVEVA cannot guarantee the prior state of the database and thus previous changesets are deemed invalid. Prior to performing a software upgrade, ensure you close and promote any existing changesets to preserve changes.
Syntax
loadblankdb [-x][-h][-o]
Loadblankdb Options
|
Option/Argument |
Description |
|---|---|
|
-x |
This parameter dictates that the program exits upon encountering an error. |
|
-h |
This optional parameter displays options and/or parameters of the command. |
|
-o |
This parameter functions as an override if the RealTime service is running or not; it is used by warm_start.csc. |
Note: The loadblankdb command is used during RealTime service startup. It should never be used on a live system. Only those with a thorough understanding of the system should use this utility. The indiscriminate use of loadblankdb will destabilize a live and Hot system.
