Configure an analog point for Setpoint Ramping

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 1 minute read

Follow this procedure to enable an analog point for Setpoint Ramping and configure the minimum amount of time it must take for the point to change from one value to another.

Note: The Output tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box is opened through the analog table listing in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE, and further information on the analog table, refer to RealTime tables.

To configure an analog point for Setpoint Ramping

  1. Navigate to the Output tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box.

  2. Ensure the following fields contain non-zero values:

    • Command Timeout

    • Setpoint Tolerance

For further information on the above fields, refer to RealTime tables.

Note: If the above fields contain zero values, the Setpoint Ramping application will not work properly.

  3. Select Enable Setpoint Ramping.

  4. In the Setpoint Ramping Total Time Minimum in Minutes, enter the minimum amount of time that the ramping process must last.

While Controllers can configure a time that exceeds the minimum time, the system prevents them from using a time that falls below the minimum time.
