Initiate the modem_test process

The modem_test process can be initiated by a command or through the Modem Control dialog box in easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS).

Note: The -m and -b options are mutually exclusive, but one must be set. If neither of these options is specified, the modem_test process is run against all the modems in the Modem table.

The modem_test process can be initiated in the following three ways:

• fnput mode.modem_name TEST

  This command calls modem-test -m modem_name -1

• fnput mbank.bank_name TEST [telno]

  This command calls modem-test -b bank_name -w5 -t[telno]. If [telno] is not provided, it defaults to -1 for local test mode.
