Follow this procedure to determine whether default or alternative alarm limits are in effect for a given analog, rate, or flowTotalConfig point.
In the following procedure, an analog point is used as an example. The procedure is the same for rate points, but slightly different for flowTotalConfig points (as described in the procedure). The Analog Control dialog is opened through either a station schematic or the Analog Summary window. For information on the Analog Summary window, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation.
To identify the active set of alarm limits
-
Open the Analog Control dialog.

-
Select Alarm Limits.
Note: On the Flow Total Control dialog, select the appropriate Limits button.
The Analog Alarm Limits dialog appears.

The Alternate Alarm Limits section indicates whether or not alternative alarm limits are in effect (enabled) for the point. The name of the active set of alternative alarm limits appears below the Enabled checkbox.
The default alarm limits are in effect if alternative alarm limits are not enabled.
