The Alarm Severity Override (almSevOverride) table is used to match alarm criteria and override alarm behaviour for matched alarms.

You can match alarms based upon the following:

  • Message text

  • Table

  • Process

  • Host name

Alarms must match all configured criteria.

You can also override the alarm severity for all alarm types (Application, System, Database).

With System alarms, you can do the following:

  • Override the following additional information on the alarm:

    • Category

    • Group

    • Station

      • When Override Station is selected, and a station is configured, then the alarms matching the criteria are rolled up to the station, site, and region. For more information, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Controller documentation.

  • Either inhibit the alarm, or route it to a third-party application.
