<DriverAliasSynonym>

<DriverAliasSynonym> elements reference other <DriverAlias> elements, but it does not contain any other elements.

<DriverAliasSynonym> elements are used when a client application contains several aliases that ultimately resolve to the same alias. For example, Control and Measurement eXecutive (CMX) and RealTime aliases refer to the same RealTime Database (RTDB) drivers within a Data Access Layer (DAL) configuration file. They can be listed before the referenced <DriverAlias>, but they cannot reference a <DriverAlias> that is not in the file. They must contain one attribute: ReferenceAlias.
