Follow this procedure to associate an analog, a status, or a multistate point with a particular MultiControlGroup record. The Controller can issue a multi-control command to all points associated with the MultiControlGroup record.
Note: In the following procedure, an analog point is used as an example. The procedure is the same for status and multistate points. The Main tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box is opened through the analog table listing in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE, and further information on the analog table, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation and RealTime tables, respectively.
To associate a RealTime table record with a multi-control group
-
Navigate to the Main tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box.

-
In the Multi-Control Group field, enter or select the name of a MultiControlGroup record.
-
In the Command Order field, enter the order in which the system issues the command relative to the other commands (default = "0").
Notes: The first command that the system issues in a multi-control command is the command with the lowest Command Order number. If the first-issued command has a Command Order of "4", it means that "4" is the lowest command order number – it does not necessarily have to be, for example, "0" or "1".
If one or more analog, status, or multistate points share a Command Order number, the order in which the system executes the commands is indeterminate for these points.
