Configure the Data Access Layer (DAL) file on the source system

In the example below, configurations on the Development (DEV) system (pdcdev) are transferred to the Test (TST) system (pdctst).

The configuration steps are as follows:

1. On the source computer where you plan to perform Pivot and Transfer, create a folder called pdctst under %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\DAL\.

2. Under the %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\DAL\pdctst directory, create a folder called control_room.

3. In the %DNADataRoot%\ADE\config\DAL\pdctst\control_room directory, create a Data Access Layer (DAL) file for the Pivot and Transfer configuration. For example:

   DALConfig_DBEDIT.xml

4. Add the target system driver alias with the DBEdit driver-type configuration.

5. Configure the DriverAlias accordingly.
