AddFlexTag

This Business Logic Tier (BLT) adds one or more flexTag record.

Input Parameters

• dbName - the database of the (first) tagged point (analog, status, rate, rtstring, multistate, or station).

• ptName - the point name of the (first) tagged point.

• tagType - the tag type of the record - the valid values can be found by calling the GetFlexTagTypes BLT.

• paramList - a string with additional parameters, with zero or more entries separated by asterisks (*).

  Note: Within each item, the field name and value are separated by a pipe (|).

The paramList is of the form:

 

fieldName1|value1*fieldName2|value2*fieldName3|value3

In the paramList, additional tags can be created by specifying DBnPnt fields.

The DBnPnt value is of the form "point/database". This feature supports Tag Grouping, and if a DBnPnt is specified, the tagGroup field must also be specified.

Results

The first result set contains the tags that were successfully added.

The second result set contains the tags that did not get added (including those not within your Area of Responsibility (AOR)).
