Run the install tool from the Test and Development System where the files are under source control. Doing so will decrease the risk of loading an obsolete file.
Notes: You should only perform the following procedure after completing all Datapump configuration
(refer to Configure Datapump using the SAMPLE directory).
After upgrading a database to a newer version of a Data-tier Application Package (DACPAC),
you should reinstall Datapump on the upgraded database.
To install the Datapump configuration
-
Run SQLInstallTool.exe, and ensure that there are no red highlights.
-
Collapse all directories.
-
Install all files for each system.
Note: You will need to do this every time you change file. When it goes live (at minimum on the Test and Development System), make sure that you have no errors.
-
(Optional) If the system has an availability group installed, execute the following Datapump script to create a Microsoft SQL job on each secondary node dataserver:
%DataDir%\Historical\config\applicationsql\Datapump\DP_Populate_keys\TimeSeries\XIS_TIMESERIES_SQLJOBS_datapump.sql
