Build the software development kit (SDK) examples

Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, see Modify configuration settings.

1. In Notepad, open the %DNASourceRoot%\RealTime\build.xml file.

2. Locate the <itemGroup Label = "Solutions"> element.

3. Add the following to the above element:

   FunctionReplicationExtension.Examples.sln

4. The updated section should look as follows:

   <ItemGroup Label="Solutions">

   <Solution Include="source\FunctionReplicationExtension.Examples.sln" />

   </ItemGroup>

5. Save and close the file.

6. Select Start.

7. In the Search field, enter Developer Command Prompt for Visual Studio.

8. Press Enter.

   The Visual Studio Developer Command Prompt window opens.

9. Execute the following commands:

   cd %DNASourceRoot%\RealTime

   msbuild.exe build.xml

   Once msbuild completes successfully, the system copies all the resulting .dll files to %DNADataRoot% \RealTime\bin.
