Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.

For status and multistate records, after a RealTime failover, cold start, or communication outage, the system can, in certain cases, regenerate alarms for abnormal state conditions. Some Controllers may consider such alarms nuisance/noise.

Follow the procedure below to inhibit the system from regenerating said alarms for status and multistate records.

To Inhibit the regeneration of abnormal alarms after RealTime failover, cold start, or communication outage

  1. In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open the RealTime_InhibitAbnormalStateRealarm.json file.

  2. In the following line, change false to true:

    {

    "RealTime": {

    "INHIBIT_ABNORMAL_STATE_REALARM": false

    }

    }

  3. Save the file.

  4. Restart the RealTime service.
