AVEVA Enterprise SCADA

Configure resynchronization file

After a long-term replication outage, the DPResync.csc script may be used to resynchronize the databases. It may also be used during replication testing to compare database contents at source and destination systems. The DPResync.csc script requires a data file in order to determine how to compare and resynchronize the database tables.

To generate the resynchronization data file, use DPCreateResyncDatafile.csc. Follow the instructions displayed after file creation to verify and enhance the file. The scripts only use local information, so they need to be run on each Datapump source system in order to produce the full set of files for the entire AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system. The script uses the archive schedule settings to determine the delCutOff column (how much data is online). This can also be edited manually. When complete, copy the files to the Test and Development System to back them up.

Note: Look in the %DNAInstallRoot%\Historical\scripts\Datapump directory for some sample batch files or running re-sync scripts.
