Configure [DQTAG] for manual status

Follow the procedure below to have the PI Data Quality tags display the Manual status state.

To configure the [DQTAG] for manual status

1. On all RealTime computers, open the following file in a text editor: %DNAInstallRoot%\RealTime\config\pioas_cfg.dat.

   The following lines should currently exist in the file:

   [DQTAG]

   1=fresh 0

   2=error 1

   3=offscan 1

2. Add the following, additional line:

   4=manl 1

3. Save and close the file.

4. Restart the RealTime service.

5. As mentioned, repeat the above procedure on all RealTime computers.

6. On the Primary PI server, select Start > Programs > PI System > PI System Management Tools.

   PI System Management Tools opens.

7. In the left frame under Servers, ensure that the Primary PI server is selected.

8. In the left frame under System Management Tools, select Points.

9. In the right frame, double-click Digital States.

   PI System Management Tools should display the following list of State Names:

   • Good

   • Stale

   • Error

   • StaleError

   • Offscan

   • StaleOffscan

   • ErrorOffscan

   • StaleErrorOffscan

10. Add the following State Names to the list to make Manual a valid status state:

    • Manual

    • StaleManual

    • ErrorManual

    • StaleErrorManual

    • OffscanManual

    • StaleOffscanManual

    • ErrorOffscanManual

    • StaleErrorOffscanManual

11. Save the [DQTAG] digital state.
