The configDesc table in the Historical Data Payload Processor (DPP) database defines several parameters that are populated with default values during DPP database installation. These parameters must be adapted to match the configuration of your installation.

The following table details the configDesc table parameters.

configDesc Item

Description

CD_OWNSYSID

Set the intValue to the system ID of the system that will write data into DPP tables.
For single Historical scenarios, use the system ID of the system containing the Principal Historical service.
If datapump is installed, only the DPP database changes done in this system will trigger data replication to other systems.
The system ID is available in the Properties for each system in the Network Management Console (NMC).

CD_OWNSYSNAME

Set the nameValue to the system name that corresponds to the System ID set for CD_OWNSYSID.

CD_DIST_GLOBAL_DATASET

This parameter must be set to the global dataset created in the RealTime database (RTDB).This parameter is used as a default dataset, and it should be a dataset that is always replicated regardless of operation mode.

  • To view the datasets, open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and execute the following command:

    select * from xosapp..doas_dataset

CD_TIMEZONE

Set the nameValue to the timezone code of the system that will send the data, for example, TZD_MOUNTAIN_STANDARD.

  • To check the values defined in your system, open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and execute the following command:

Select configName, configDefine, description, intValue, nameValue from DPP..configDesc
