User Defined Reports are potentially useful for diagnosing chronic and acute problems. They can show changes that take place slowly over time, so they should be periodically archived. It is important to note that these reports cannot be examined while they are collecting. The single instance of any one counter is only a fraction of the data that was configured for collection in these reports.

Follow the procedure below to access the historical report of your counters.

To access the historical report of your counters

  1. Select Start, and enter Performance Monitor.

  2. In Performance Monitor, select Data Collector Sets > User Defined > PerfMonRealTime.

  3. Select the Stop icon to create a log to view the data that has been collected.

  4. Terminate the current instance of Performance Monitor.
