Data quality considerations

The data quality of the status and multistate input points monitored by the application affect the automatic placement of flex tags. In particular, the relative data qualities are:
|
Name |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Fresh |
If the point is fresh, the Stale data quality indicator does not appear to the left of the line associated with the point in question. Based on the last valid condition of a correct poll, the data is neither old nor stale. |
|
Manual Override Mode |
When a point is in Manual Override mode, you can write commands directly into the RealTime database (RTDB). |
|
Error |
When this symbol appears, it could be because an application has declared the value to be suspect or erroneous. |
Tag Placement does not automatically create a new flex tag on an output point if the input point is either stale, in Manual Override mode, or in error.
However, Tag Placement will not delete a pre-existing flex tag if it enters one of those states. This prevents unstable communications on a remote from triggering the repeated addition and removal of flex tags.
Notes: Tag Placement monitors input points created as Manual Entry point types for the automatic
placement of flex tags.
Error does not refer to the current state (ERROR, OPEN, CLOSE, TRANSIT): it refers
to the error data quality.
The system deletes all Tag Placement related flex tags saved in the RTDB when the
system restarts, but will recreate them as required according to current conditions.
