Alarm Summary shows point tag when in alarm

Situational awareness is important to Controllers responding to alarms. It can be significant for a Controller to know whether a tag was present on a point at the time it went into alarm. In other circumstances, temporary or special conditions and instructions for Controllers relating to a specific point can be captured with an informational point tag. The point tag helps the Controller respond properly to an alarm for that point.

The tag icon () is visible on the Alarm Summary dialog box. It shows a visual indicator to the Controller that alarm handling instructions may be available for the point in an informational point tag. The following image shows the Alarm Summary dialog box with one of the alarms that has a point with a tag (visible in the third column).
