Configure the protocol

You can edit and configure the remote protocol for any remote record by using the Protocol Record Edit button.

To configure and edit the remote protocol

1. On the Main tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box, select Protocol Record Edit.

   The Remote to Protocol dialog box appears briefly, followed by the Row Edit dialog box for the protocol related to the record (for example, if the Protocol field in the remote Row Edit dialog box is set to OPC Client, the opc Row Edit dialog box appears).

2. Edit the protocol-specific Row Edit dialog box as desired, and save the changes.

   Note: The Remote to Protocol dialog box displays the name and protocol associated with the record. It cannot be edited.
