  • 3 minute read

The almlimit table is used by the Alternate Alarm Limits application. Each record in the almlimit table contains a set of alternative alarm limits referenced by an almlimitset record. The almlimit table contains the following internal fields:

Internal Field Name

Data Type

Description

configuredInhibits

stateInhibits

A structure of information about the point's alternative alarm limits that apply to analog, rate, and flowTotalConfig points.

configuredLimits

almlimitsettings

A structure of information about the state-based alarm inhibits.

dataset

doas_dset_slot

This field indicates the dataset to which the record is assigned. Datasets are used to associate the record with the privileges assigned for each system mode. Once a record is assigned to a dataset value, the dataset can only be changed to a value for which the system has a privilege record.

description

description

A description of the point, up to 47 characters in length.

group

groupslot

Many records have this field. A group is assigned to all points that are closely related.

memberOfSet

almlimitsetslot

The name of the almlimitset record that uses the alternative alarm limits configured in the almlimit record.

name

pntname

The name of the almlimit record.

state

pntname

The state of the associated multistate point that causes an analog, a rate, or a flowTotalConfig point to use the alternative alarm limits.
