Create a remote record

For further information on the remote table, refer to volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator documentation.

To create a remote record

1. Navigate to the Main tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box.

   

2. In the Protocol field, select XMLPROTO.

3. In the Address field, enter a random, non-zero integer.

   Note: Although the driver does not use the Address field, the system will not save the record unless you enter a random, non-zero integer.

4. Navigate to the Remote Schedule tab.

   

5. In the Request field, select Stale XML points.

   Notes: If you configure the driver's stale threshold in the Stale Threshold (sec) field on the XML tab in the xmlproto Row Edit dialog box (refer to Xmlproto Row Edit: XML tab), the system ignores any Stale XML Points request configured on the Remote Schedule tab in the remote Row Edit dialog box.
   
   The configuration of a remote schedule request applies only to Point Import and XML Point Import.

6. For information on configuring the remaining parameters, refer to volume 1 of the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA RealTime Administrator documentation.

7. Configure the remaining fields on the various tabs as required.
