Prepare for database conversion - Administrative

The following administrative tasks need to be performed prior to the database conversion.

To prepare for your database conversion

1. Ensure a back-up of the system was completed recently.

2. Navigate to %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\database\schema\.

3. Add your project-specific .json files to the appropriate sub-folders based on their types.

4. Coordinate the conversion with other project team members as there will be some downtime.

   Notes: It is important that no modifications are undertaken during the process.
   
   You cannot order newly created custom tables to a specific location within the root.txt file. The SchemaConverter application dynamically determines table numbers, which it then places into the root.txt file accordingly. Placing tables at the end or beginning of the root.txt file is irrelevant, as the system does not allow for any editing of the automatically generated root.txt or types.txt files.
