An application consists of various Microsoft SQL script files. Application sequence files allow you to specify the order in which these script files are loaded.
The application sequence files also provide a means of organizing the script files into groups that are more intuitively obvious when examined using the OASyS DNA SQL Installation Tool.
Application sequence files always contain the suffix .seq.
The table below describes the elements of application sequence files.
|
Element |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Comment Lines |
Any line that starts with a #. |
|
Group Header |
A line containing simple text bounded by square brackets [ ]. |
|
SQL File Name |
A line containing a text specification of a Microsoft SQL script file name. |
|
Blank lines are allowed but ignored. |

The following is an example of an application sequence file.
#
# This file defines the basic datapump configuration required for a distributed OASyS system
#
# Manually modify to define destination systems in DPSystem and hop systems in DPHopSystem
[ConfigureDatapumpSystems] installdp1Config2_DOAS.sql
#
# Generate using "DPutil -g1"
# Depends on DPHopSystem existing which is created in installdp1Config2
# DPSystemDefaults must exist before installdp1Config3 is called
#
[CreateStatusValsTables] ..\MASTER_dpX\installdp1Config3.sql
# [CreateStatusValsTables HOP] ..\MASTER_dpX\installdp1Config3_HOP.sql
#
# Manually modify to add DPSystemDefaults and DPDatasetInterest rows
[ConfigureDOASSupport] installdp1Config4_DOAS.sql
