To create a PI trend with data quality

1. Create a PI value point.

   The PI trend application retrieves the values of this point.

2. Create a PI data quality point associated with the above point.

   The PI trend application retrieves the data quality of this point.

3. Name the point in Step according to the following Data Quality (DQ) tag naming convention:

   <value tag name> + _DQ

   For example, if the name of a point is analog1, then the DQ point is analog1_DQ. When a trend request requires data quality, it applies this rule to derive the data quality point to be used.

4. Repeat Steps to as desired.

5. Configure the trend, through the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Chart Control Configuration wizard. For more information, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Display Builder documentation.
