Understanding the Business Logic Tier (BLT)

Business Logic Tier (BLT) components interface with data tier components to update/retrieve database information as well as execute remote commands.

BLT Clients make a remote request to a server with a specified BLT component. The BLT component is instantiated by a BLT host that is run by an AVEVA Enterprise SCADA service (such as, Common, Arbitration, RealTime, Historical, Archive). The client does not need to be aware of which service is hosting the BLT as the routing is taken care of automatically.
