The table in this section details the Function Puts (Fnputs) that are specific to inhibiting or enabling state alarms. These commands are only applicable to analog, rate, tank, and flowtotalconfig tables.
The following arguments are common to these function puts:
-
<warningPeriod>: Number of seconds before inhibition end. When warningPeriod is set to 0, no alarm is shown before alarm inhibition ends.
-
<inhibitTime>: Time during which the provided inhibition state remains active. The format is dd:hh:mm. A value of 00:00:00 keeps the inhibitions described for an unlimited time.
-
<statesToInhibit>, <statesToEnable>: A comma-separated list of fields that defines the states or conditions to enable.
-
<stateToInhibit>, <stateToEnable>: A field that defines the state that is affected by inhibition. The valid values are as follows:
-
stateInhibit.inh_lo : low state
-
stateInhibit.inh_lolo : low-low state
-
stateInhibit.inh_hi: high state
-
stateInhibit.inh_hihi: high-high state
-
stateInhibit.inh_ulo: user low state
-
stateInhibit.inh_uhi: user high state
-
stateInhibit.inh_setcreep: setpoint creep (applicable to analog, rate, and flowtotalconfig only)
-
stateInhibit.inh_dev: deviation
-
stateInhibit.inh_inst_hi: instrument fail high state
-
stateInhibit.inh_inst_lo: instrument fail low state
-
stateInhibit.inh_inst_rtu: instrument fail RTU state (applicable to analog, rate, and flowtotalconfig only)
-
stateInhibit.inh_inst_attr: instrument fail as an attribute only
-
stateInhibit.inh_flat: flat line
-
stateInhibit.inh_roc: rate of change
-
stateInhibit.inh_nel : Normal Empty Level (applicable to tank only)
-
stateInhibit.inh_nfl : Fill Limit (applicable to tank only)
-
stateInhibit.inh_RR: rate reasonability (applicable to rate only)

Command Description
-
INHIBIT ALARMS~<statetoInhibit>~<inhibitTime>
-
INHIBIT ALARMS WARNING <warningPeriod>~<statetoInhibit>~<inhibitTime>
Inhibits one state during the provided inhibitTime.
If you do not provide a warningPeriod, no warning is shown before the alarm inhibition ends.
Example:
-
INHIBIT ALARMS WARNING 60~stateInhibit.inh_lo~00:00:30 inhibits low state alarms for 30 minutes with a warning at one minute before the alarm inhibition ends.
ENABLEALARMS~(<stateToEnable>| ALL | ALLRESTORE)
Enables one or all state alarms and re-alarms the alarms that were inhibited. This command has no effect when off normal alarms are inhibited (flag.alminh = 'yes').
When ALLRESTORE is provided, the previously saved state inhibition configuration is restored and the inhibition timer is canceled.
SAVEINHIBIT ALARMS~(ALL|STATE|NONE)~<inhibitTime>~<warningPeriod>~<statesToInhibit>~<statesToEnable>
Saves the current state inhibition configuration and sets the new state inhibitions during the provided time. Alarm inhibitions will be restored to the saved state after the inhibition time.
Examples:
-
SAVEINHIBIT ALARMS~ALL~00:00:30~0~flag.alminh~ inhibits all off normal alarms for 30 minutes.
-
SAVEINHIBIT ALARMS~STATE~00:00:15~60~stateInhibit.inh_lo,stateInhibit.inh_lolo~ inhibits low and low-low state alarms for 15 minutes with a warning at one minute before alarm inhibition ends.
-
RESTORE STATE INHCONFIG
-
RESTORE STATE INHCONFIG ALL
-
RESTORE STATE INHCONFIG ALL DELETE
Restores a previously saved state inhibition configuration. When ALL is provided, the current generic inhibitions (flag.alminh and flag.clrinh) are also restored to the configured state (flag.alminhConfig and flag.clrinhConfig). When DELETE is provided, any previous inhibition timer is canceled.
