You can configure a delay time on a alarm for an analog, a status, a rate, a multistate, or an rtstring point by using the point's control dialog box.
Note: In the following procedure, an analog point is used as an example. The procedure is the same for status, rate, multistate, and rtstring points. The Analog Control dialog box is opened through the Analog Summary window. For information on control dialog boxes, refer to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA HMI Controller documentation.
To delay a manual override period expired alarm
-
Navigate to the Analog Control dialog box.

-
Select RealTime.
-
Select Manual Override Alarm Enabled.
-
In the Duration (Hrs) field, enter the amount of time in hours before the system generates a Manual Override Period Expired alarm for this point, and select Submit.
-
Select Manual to place the point into Manual Override mode.
The Expiry Time field updates with a timestamp value that equals the current time plus the Duration (Hrs) value.
Notes: As mentioned above, the "manual override period expired" alarm runs every minute at hh:mm:30. The minute component of the alarm is based on the timestamp preference (either top of period or bottom of period) as configured in the Network Management Console. The seconds component, meanwhile, is based on the 30 second mark of the minute. As a bottom of period example, if the Expiry Time reads 13:54:37:000, the alarm will occur at 13:55:30.
If you place the point back into RealTime mode while the timer is running, the timer stops and resets to zero.
