Cancel a Setpoint Ramping operation to send a setpoint

Follow this procedure to cancel a Setpoint Ramping operation in progress to send a setpoint to the field device.

To cancel a setpoint ramping operation to send a setpoint

1. On the Analog Control dialog box for a point currently undergoing a Setpoint Ramping operation, select RealTime.

   

2. In the Setpoint field, enter the desired setpoint.

3. Select Submit.

   The following dialog box appears:

   

4. Select Yes.

   The following occurs:

   1. The application stops the current step and makes no further setpoint commands.

   2. The system sends the setpoint.
