Opening a Systems object’s action menu provides access to several options.
Note: Each system has an icon that represents its current system status. For further information, refer to Icons.
Right-click on an object in the Systems folder in the Network Management Console (NMC) to open the action menu. From this action menu you can access the following functions:
-
Monitor updates
-
Export all child nodes to XML
-
Merge XML data
-
Replace with XML data
-
Delete
-
Refresh
-
Systems object Properties
Note: The Export all child nodes to XML action item can be used to save a fully tested system configuration into an XML text file. The XML file can then be used as a template to configure new systems. For example, a control center system can be exported to XML, the resulting file copied and edited so that the system name string is replaced by a new system name string (note that the system name will be repeated at least once per ADLDSObject within the system), with the new host/computer names for the new system computers, and the Merge XML data action item is used to create the new system.
