Follow this procedure to enable Setpoint Creep Alarming on an analog point.

Note: The Alarming tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box is opened through the analog table listing in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE, and further information on the analog table, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation and RealTime tables, respectively.

To set a Setpoint Creep alarm

  1. Navigate to the Alarming tab in the analog Row Edit dialog box.

  2. Select Setpoint Creep Detection.

  3. In the Setpoint Deviation Alarm Limit field, enter the setpoint creep limit.

As mentioned above, AVEVA Enterprise SCADA generates an alarm when the value of an analog point's curval field deviates too far from the commanded setpoint.
