Configure the top of day

Configure the top of day for a particular time zone by creating a groupTOD record. Group records associated with analog, status, rate, multistate, and flowTotalConfig points in that time zone are in turn associated with the groupTOD record.

GroupTOD records are stored in the groupTOD table, and are created and edited using the groupTOD Row Edit dialog box within Advanced Database Editor (ADE). For general information on ADE and how to create records, refer to the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) Administrator documentation

To configure the top of day

1. In ADE, select View > Realtime.

2. In the tree view, double-click the Top of Day Group table icon.

   The groupTOD Table Edit dialog box appears.

   

   

3. Refer to GroupTOD Row Edit for information on configuring the items on the groupTOD Row Edit dialog box.

4. After configuring the groupTOD Row Edit dialog box, proceed to the following sections as appropriate:

   • Enable the calculation of averages for analog and flowTotalConfig points

   • Enable the calculation of averages for rate points

   • Enable the calculation of averages for status and multistate points
