Note: For information on overriding default configuration settings, refer to Modify configuration settings.
To enable inter-system alert paging, the RealTime database (RTDB) alarm replication and alarm acknowledgement replication features need to be enabled on all RealTime computers by:
-
Modifying the RealTime.json file, or
-
Adding the settings below to the RealTime_custom.json file.
These settings allow Alerts from the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA domain to be processed and sent from the Decision Support Systems (DSS) domain and the Alert Acknowledgements to be replicated from the DSS to the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA domain.
To configure alert paging to work across systems
-
In the %DNADataRoot%\RealTime\config\Settings directory, either create or open either the RealTime.json or the RealTime_custom.json file.
-
Modify or add the following settings:
{
"RealTime": {
"REPLICATE_DB_AND_APP_ALARMS ": false,
"REPLICATE_ACK_ALARMS ": false
}
}
Note: The default value for both settings is false.
-
Save the file.
-
Restart the RealTime service.
