RealTime summarization is dynamic and utilizes various strategies to handle the summarization of incoming collect data. These strategies consist of various approaches to calculating the summarization of new data, missing data, data crossing over the time boundary into a new hour, and data with ownership changes.
In particular, when crossing into a new hour, the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA strategy is to use the last processed value for summarizing data of sample and exception collect types. The last processed value in this case best represents the new hour.
Note: Historical summarization re-summarizes any edited data. The re-summarization covers only the period of changed data, and is based on system ownership. It does not need to compensate for dynamic data.
