This application allows you to inhibit alarms on analog, status, rate, multistate, rtstring, tank, flowTotalConfig, connection, and remote points for a configured period of time.
You can inhibit alarms for a point in one of two places:
-
Through a point's Alarm Inhibit dialog box.
-
Through an alarm entry for a point on the Alarm Summary window.
Note: Return-to-normal alarms do not have an expiry timeout. When you inhibit such an alarm, the alarm inhibit remains in place until you manually remove the inhibit. The maximum inhibit time configured by an Administrator does not apply to return-to-normal alarms.
