The Distributed Timeline software package provides a means for the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA system to collect and store long term, time series data for any points in the real-time database.
With Distributed Timeline, the owning system collects the data, and a datapump is used to replicate the data to other systems. Data is only gathered locally if Local Collect is enabled in the privilege records. Replication facilities in the Historical database (HDB) are used to replicate the written data between systems. Local collection of raw values occurs in the RealTime database (RTDB) at all times. This allows the easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS) trending facilities to provide current data even if the authority source has not yet written those values to the Historical database.
