Configure a group’s suppression expiry timeout field

Follow this procedure to suppress alarms on points associated with a group record for a set number of minutes.

Note: The Additional Properties tab in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) Group Properties dialog box is opened through the Network Management Console (NMC). For general information on NMC and further information on configuring AOR properties, refer to the Tools Administrator documentation.

To configure a group's suppression expiry timeout field

  1. Navigate to the Additional Properties tab in the AOR Group Properties dialog box.

  2. In the Suppression Duration (min) field, enter the number of minutes that alarms should be suppressed on analog, status, and rate points associated with this group.
