The attributes used to configure the execution of Business Logic Tier (BLT) objects are the following:
-
Method is set to AnyBLT
-
CallSyntax is the name of the BLT followed by a comma separated list of arguments. The arguments enclosed by single quotes are considered string literals. The arguments not enclosed by single quotes are the names of the fields in the form whose values will be used as parameters of the BLT object call.
The following example shows how to use the addOneShotReminder BLT object to create one shot reminders on the curval field of analog points. To create a new reminder record using this sample Advanced Database Editor (ADE) form, you must fill the name field with the name of the point that will trigger the reminder. The pointOperator, pointValue, and severity fields are also required arguments. When the new record is saved, the addOneShotReminder BLT is executed. As the result of this execution, a new reminder record is created with a new unique name, and the other internal fields are consistently populated. If the execution is not successful, a corresponding error is shown in ADE.
