Use the Tools menu of the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) main dialog (Tree View dialog) to set your preferences or to access tools for the Tree View dialog.

User Options

Select User Options to access the User Options dialog.

Save Window Positions

Select Save Window Position to save the location and size of the ADE dialog that you currently have open.

If you are connected to a remote login from a computer with a smaller display area than your normal setup and the form position requires automatic adjustment, auto-saving is disabled when you close the application using one of the following methods:

  • Select File, and then Close.

  • Select X to directly close the application.

    If you are altering resolution or scale, we recommend that you select Tools, and then Save Window Positions, especially the first time after changing resolution, scale, or when disconnecting from external monitors.

Adhoc Import From Excel

Select Adhoc Import From Excel to initiate the adhoc Excel import tool where multiple tables stored in an Excel file will open each Table Edit dialog in one single import operation.
