Example of a popup modifying a passed-in record

  • Last UpdatedApr 24, 2025
  • 1 minute read

In this example, the Abnormal States button on the Alarming tab of the status Row Edit dialog box opens a form wherein an Administrator can select abnormal states. The system updates the existing record based on selections made on the instantiated form. These changes are saved to the RealTime database (RTDB) when the Administrator selects the Save button.

The button calls the following assembly, class, and method, respectively:

  • OASySDNA.DBEditHelperForms.current

  • AbnormalStatePopUp

  • ShowAbnormalStates

The code below illustrates how the Abnormal States button modifies the abnrm_state_alm columns.

The abnrm_state_alm column is an array of 4 from 0 to 3. While the four columns are added directly underneath the button, the IsVisibleInRowEditor attribute is set to false.
