Aceconfig Row Edit: Input Tab

The Application Calculation Engine (ACE) Engine is an application that compiles code and uses it to perform calculations and operations given a set of inputs. The code to run and the inputs to the ACE procedure are defined in the ACE Configuration (aceconfig) database, with access through the aceconfig records.
Aceconfig records have three types of input: constant values, PubSub topic strings, and RealTime value paths. The Value field is used for entering either constants or PubSub topic strings.
The figure below shows the three different input types in an aceconfig record. Each row represents a different input, which can result in a calculation or issue an event if the input's value changes. Row 1 uses a Path to a point in RealTime; the value of that point in RealTime can trigger an ACE Code (acecode) routine or be used in a calculation. Row 2 uses a PubSub topic string in its calculation; by subscribing to the PubSub topic, the aceconfig record is re-run whenever the topic string is published to. Row 3 uses a constant value in its calculation.

Const |
Selecting this checkbox enables the row to use a constant value. Selecting this checkbox causes the Value field to be available. You can enter your constant in this field. If Const is not selected, the input must be either a Path or a PubSub topic. |
|
Data Source |
When Const is not selected, you must use this dropdown menu to indicate whether the input will be a Path or a PubSub topic (which is entered in the Value field). |
|
Value |
When the Const checkbox is selected, the number in this field is calculated as the constant input value. If you want to use a PubSub topic string for input, select PubSub from the Data Source dropdown menu. Enter the PubSub topic in the Value field. |
|
Path |
Select (...) beside the field under Path to open the Path Selector dialog box. Select a path as an input value. |
