Filter messages

The filter section on the Controller Messaging dialog box allows you to filter messages by the following criteria:

• Creator

• Topic

• Number of messages

• Time

• Read/Unread

Notes: You can use two or more filters at the same time.

For information on marking messages as read, refer to Mark all messages as read.

To filter messages

1. To filter by creator:

   1. In the Creator field on the Controller Messaging dialog box, enter the name of the creator.

   2. Select Search.

   3. To clear the filter, clear the Creator field and select Search.

2. To filter by topic

   1. In the Topic field on the Controller Messaging dialog box, enter the topic of the message.

   2. Select Search.

   3. To clear the filter, clear the Topic field and select Search.

3. To filter by the number of messages

   1. In the Display field on the Controller Messaging dialog box, select one of the following:

      • 25 Messages

      • 50 Messages

      • 100 Messages

      By default, the Controller Messaging dialog box displays ALL messages.

   2. Select Search.

   3. To clear the filter, select ALL and select Search.

4. To filter by time

   1. Select Time.

   2. Select a Start Time and End Time.

   3. Select Search.

   4. To clear the filter, clear the Time checkbox and select Search.

5. To filter by read/unread messages

   1. Clear the All checkbox.

      The application automatically clears the Read and Unread checkboxes.

   2. Select Read or Unread as desired.

      Note: If you select both Read and Unread, the application automatically selects the All checkbox.

   3. To return to the default setting (all three checkboxes selected), select All.
